Started posting over a decade ago here on SI that China will become more democratic.. Here is just one of many.. Message 26851884 and some on iHub when/where many of us fled temporarily ... Not democratic as Canada or definitely not the US with a system designed to impede government from getting much meaningful work done unless a crisis such as Pearl Harbour occurs.. :(

and a modern socialist country by 2049

what is this a socialist future ? Scandinavia is socialist.. France is socialist :0) .. According to the US Canada is socialist :) They will reach the socialist ideals lauded by so many in the West.. yet NEVER have IMO the fullness of democracy that impedes the West in many ways.. It will be Democracy Chinese style :)

glacial was especially salient.. it applies to so much.. the West loves to criticize for I what take as opportunist shallow and disingenuous reasons .. Look at the greening of China for one.. recall when California's main crop was smog.. ? Now look !!! So look at China through that lens.. of course that will scare many folks too LOL

That is a good read thx..
