"Nobody just says "This stock is good!" without any financial explanation."

EXTREMELY Well said Elroy !!

I often find it hard to believe that there are those, who wish to involve themselves within the Stock Market, do not better inform themselves of what can be there for all to see in any company's Audited Financial Statements that will better indicate to them the current business performance of that company.

What you are saying here implies that you have either a short memory or was really good at predicting the future. When amazon was selling books on line, and selling for a ridiculous multiple of sales, I cetainly did not envision what they would become. the only thing that I did realize was that because people were paying so much for their shares I realized that they could sell shares and expand into other business with low capital costs. They did that and they did it successfully. Kudos to Bezos . But how you could see them as a future competitor to walmart at that time is beyond me. Google was a great search engine, but again for me it was difficult to see that not only would they sell ad, stifle the competition but that they would also pretty much steal your data without your permission and sell it. Again I could not see that. I did think that their purchase of You Tube was astute but that was the only thing that I saw. Of those companies the only one I could have invested in was google and i m sorry I didnt. Is it too late now?
