Wharfie, 214,629 deaths/ 7,638,596 cases =2.80979% death rate. That's among the confirmed cases. The death rates being reported assume that there are a lot of undetected, asymptomatic cases of COVID-19. I posted a while back explaining why even a death rate of 0.64% would be catastrophic: Message 32843720 People don't understand why a virus that has a 0.64% death rate can be MORE deadly than a virus that has a 50% death rate. Tenchusatsu P.S. - I find it hilarious that some people would take certain things from the CDC as gospel but not other things like mask-wearing.

I agree with this guy 100%. ***** President Trump’s response to the pandemic has probably been the biggest failure by a commander-in-chief to a national emergency in American history. It is also the main reason he is getting annihilated in the polls. His infection was a gift-wrapped opportunity to him to treat the situation with new clarity and urgency. What an incredible impactful moment it would have been to show a human side. What an opportunity to turn around his listless campaign and show he is capable of meeting this unique challenge. Instead he squandered the opportunity and it will become just another cringe-worthy moment in the Trump Show. Utterly depressing. ***** Tenchusatsu
