Tommorrow might not be a good day given the lockup release (bunch of extra shares with huge gains from day 1), its a Friday (many traders don't like to hold over the weekend) and Nasdaq has been pretty strong all week. The plus side on the extra shares is that higher float might attract bigger players. I played it safe by selling and will wait a week to see how things shake out. I bought the stock as a short term play but the more I research the company the more I like what I see. It has just the right combination of hot new niche product (3D card) to get it going, most likely successful (and hopefully the best) new mainstream product (2D/3D) that can really widen their revenue base and finally the glimmer of a hope that it can all be topped off with the high end business graphics down the road. Good Luck to everyone. Joe C.

Lastly, there is Intel. With their i740, they seem poised to take the graphics chip market by storm. I presume they will hold the price advantage, but what about performance?

The Intel chip is a low end, OEM (I assume) targeted solution. 3DFX is targeting the Hard-core 3D market and the Intel is more 'just a 3D chipset'. It will compete more on the level of the S3 which is only arguably a 3D chip (In my mind).
