Paul, I remember some notes written a few days ago wondering what ever became of Erica Klauer. We determined that she had, in fact, relocated to Alex Brown/BT. Well she's out today with her "initiates coverage" note on seven semi firms, including Intel.

I'll leave it to soemone else to comment on her comments - I need to stay clear of such activities. Just thought you would be interested to know she's resurfaced.

Regards,
John Hull

Paul -

Re: "Intel has converted its 0.25-micron D2
technology development line in Santa Clara from logic to memory
manufacturing, while maintaining close to 90% of the same
equipment and process steps."

This looks like potential backup CPU production capacity to me! Replacing low margin flash production with high margin CPU production should be a no-brainer should their current CPU production capacity prove insufficient.
