I'm not sure I understood your comment below. I thought that they took the $70M charge this quarter for the next 2 quarters. If that's the case, this would positively affect COS in the future (in the sense that they took the change now versus later). Is there another charge they mentioned in the CC that I'm not aware about?

Revenue will be pathetic next two QTRs. The COST OF REVENUE will be
high too because they will have $70M charge carried forward.

wdc has opened at 18 1/4, your negativity shows your inexperience. buy before th market turns. the psr is about .4, management is excellent, balance sheet is clean as a whistle. wait a year, the stock is at 30 at a minimum.

I could be wrong, but when I was listening to the cc (admittedly half asleep from all the boring questions) I didn't actually ever hear WDC commit to a 9% GM number. They led some questioners to that number with implications but they never came out and said "Our GM in the Dec Q was 9 percent."
