Let me just repeat this...

If PG&E had for decades spent ratepayer money designated for safety and maintenance ON SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE instead of executive bonuses and other "perks"... The worst consequence being a golden parachute worth many millions. The unions too, in bed with management, fighting ballot and legislative efforts to allow competition and environmental transformations;

Maybe it would not be happening this way.

Captured regulators, legislators, mass media selling lucrative PG&E advertising and even willfully blind interests who received strategic donations and support all share some fraction of the blame.

Break em' up for real. FIX THE PHYSICAL ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION.

Transparency of how ratepayer money is spent, and the RESULTS.

No golden parachutes for failure.

Note I am not saying the state should own and run it..... yet. But this horseshit cannot go on.

Still no power. Georgia Power said last night we should get power back by Sunday night but will update later today. Most have gotten their power back but lots of trees down in our area so that may be the reason. I do hope it is before that since I am working nights this week and will mean my work routine will change significantly over the next couple of days. Fortunately, we have some power storage and lots torches. Worst thing it was very warm and humid last night and will get cold tonight. Not having central air or heat will be a pain if this lasts until Sunday.

Was watching some things online as able. Saw that Ossoff seemed to demolish Perdue in their debate to the point that Perdue cancelled their last debate to be with Trump when he comes to Georgia. I wonder if this will cost his some votes. Also saw that Buttigieg had another good appearance on Fox News yesterday. He was able to get in some reality before he went off the air. During an lgbt rally, he also shut down a heckler pretty nicely. Smart guy. I hope he gets some major parts in the upcoming administration that will further his career.

Was also reading about the grand jury in the Breonna Taylor case where they presented the case and then presented the charges, essentially, doing things backwards. If they really wanted to heal the community, they should have played it correctly. They just reinforced the fact that there is systemic racism in our justice system. Maybe this can help get out the Democratic vote in Kentucky and get McConnell to lose his seat. I doubt it but it would be nice if that would happen.

I was also wondering if McConnell was really sick and he had to step down while a Democrat is governor, wouldn’t that be ironic with what they did with RBG seat, if the governor gets to pick who he wants. Does anyone know how it works in Kentucky?
