I think that's from Hillary's new book, "It Takes a Village to Satisfy My Husband." Who cares anyway? Off topic: BTW, was there anything about CPPKY by any chance? It has been a Dessauer recommendation pounded down from double digits to 3 and change but has recently rebounded to 4 1/2 when I last looked. The trouble with Thai stocks is that it is so difficult to get any info on them. Jim Rogers said it looked cheap to him last week. I'm thinking about plopping my defined contribution into GSTRF this year. Anybody want to play devil's advocate and tell me why they think LOR is a better buy (which I already have)?

AsiaSat just might be a potentail buyer of L-Star 1&2, and even M2A. AsiaSat 3, which is now tumbling around the earth in a useless orbit, had a mix of C-band and Ku-band transponders. AS1 is about at the end of its life. AS3 was to replace AS1. The problem that I see in doing this is that L-Star 1 has 16 Ku-band transponders. AS1 was entirely C-band. To move these customers to a Ku-band transponder must require a change in ground equipment?(any one who knows for sure can add to this). This might not be the time to be requiring capital expenditures of your Asian customers. M2A was to be 52 C-band transponders. If AsiaSat bought the whole package(L-Star1&2, M2A), they would have a powerful combination of transponders(32 Ku, 52C) that would surpass what AS3 was capable of. Interesting to speculate on, but I have absolutely no proof of this. AsiaSat should have a pile of insurance money to spend. We shall see!!!
