<<What do you expect to see in the SEC filing? I thought that the unchanged short position predicted that there would nothing new.>>

Henry,

Unless I am mistaken, the unusually active trading in LGND took place January 15th and 16th. It may or may not be a coincidence that this activity began on the 15th, the cut-off date for this month's short interest tally. I am not sure whether the short interest numbers are reported 15th-to-14th, or 16th-to-15th. (Can anyone verify which time period it is?) My guess is that it is the former, and thus we will not know the effects of those two trading sessions on the short interest until next month, unless SEC filings shed light on the situation earlier, as Celeryroot's post suggests.

I still have a feeling that you were right about Farallon. We should soon find out, one way or the other.

Good luck,
RB
