Esteban, Ivan,

Yup, you finally found one. SHVA gapped down after a signal. It's a sample size of one so not alot can be deduced but after a quick double bottom after the gap, SHVA doubled in 4 months. That's something to keep in mind if lightning does strike twice on us. So far I still like the odds against.

SHVA

Esteban:

"Please explain how SHVA qualifies as a falling knife 2 1/2 months after the gap day."
I said that
a) because the angle of decay was still quite steep: By the signal/second gap day of 3/27, it had fallen over 25% since the beginning of the month. If you've been in a stock that's done that, you'll know pretty much what I mean by a falling knife; and
b) because I was following Shiva very closely at the time, and there was a real sense among people commenting on the stock that this was a textbook case of a widely held stock that had its bottom fall out.

"Looks like by 3/27 it was in its second settling period (the first ending about a month earlier) making that signal hard to resist."
I thought that too when I looked back at the chart this morning after you brought it up, but now that I look again, it seems to me that the settling period was very brief. Knowing what I know now, I would not play a signal like that, and would advise any fellow 56er of my feelings about it--likely until he/she told me to shut the #$)( up.

Still--Yikes, indeed. A chilling prospect.

Ivan

FUR

Esteban:

A mere 17% on Thursday, but what's say we make an honorary member of this guy? This of the -flying puns that we can enjoy so very merrily should it take off.
