The Bay Area was pretty much surrounded by fires but none were close enough to me to evacuate but it was pretty close to one end of my zip a few miles up in Los Altos Hills. I buy sunflower seeds for a bird feeder and have three bird baths around the house and that keeps them quite busy. Now and then I'll get hawks and pair of peregrine falcons roost near me and sometimes come into the yard for a meal, usually to kill a mourning dove that eat sunflower seeds. I got a decent photo of one falcon this year I posted on facebook awhile back.
