Trudeau had the option to defy the US extradition request and by doing so not follow international law or make the arrest. Not an easy place when dealing with two super powers. Absolutely right that it is not surprising Trump cluelessly supported China assertions that the arrest was a political move and undermined his own countries fraud extradition request . Trudeau should show some balls and just release her. No way that a Cdn judge will extradite her for fraud after the US president at the time undermined his countries position by making it political. Mean while two Cdns have spent nearly two years in a Chinese jail as political hostages.
