I'm not one of those claiming the virus is "fake"...

But, yes, the response has been VASTLY overblown... and for reasons having nothing to do with health.

The initial "flatten the curve" effort, if anything... worked TOO well... going way beyond flattening the curve to prevent exceeding capacity, when going way beyond it made little sense...

Vaccines as preventive measures... aren't nearly as big a deal as effective treatments are... and given where we are in the curve already... probably too late for vaccines to matter in containing what is being made into containment by natural progression with an already lowered mortality rate.

Still, you won't catch me being negligent in ignoring the risks ? I've avoided it thus far... as far as I know... and my routines aren't creating new risks for me, just now ?

Your choice... and your mileage... might vary...

No. Don't "need more"... of the irrelevancy you posted ?

The suppression of the economy is ending. That has economic impact. And its good news.

The virus related fear mongering is ending. That has many useful impacts.

Why are hospitals filling up again ? Right answer is... who cares and why... in terms of what to do about it ? We have the hospitals... in order to have them be filled up when that's useful ? It's useful now ? Great.

If hospitals are filling up again... yet fewer people are dying... that's all and only good ?

I guess it means: go long hospitals ?

That's probably true, too... as the pace accelerating relates to getting them back to doing other things too ?

But, the economy surges on in any case... shortening the half life of the risks for everyone.

Are you trying to put hospitals out of business... by denying them new patients while killing the economy ?

We know how to treat this virus now... so its not really life threatening any more ?

whatever the true state of C-virus in USA / EU domains I am perplexed by the apparent gentle-ness of C-virus in Canada by on the ground reports in Vancouver

I know nothing about C-virus in Mexico

I did a casual web-search and C-virus and appears it is actively 'bad' in both Canada and Mexico by media report

the whole happening seems a sort of ground-hog day to earlier 2020, the same sort of headlines, the same virus, and the same policy debates

it is as if the societies in aggregate are no more convinced w/r to countermeasures

astounding

I only know about Hong Kong, and so far as I understand we have some new cases, and where there be a cluster, it is stumped on

the kindergartens may shut down

my jack is going that primary schools shall remain open

the coconut's school should be in no danger of closing

for the few cases, should a lockdown happen, people shall be quite upset to the point of I do not know what can happen
