So it incumbent upon people like you and me to try to imagine what happens to the bottom half of this country when we go into lockdown. These people are the ones who become unemployed and lose access to healthcare. Lockdowns are unconscionable from this perspective. So the elitists who think lockdowns are the answer are ignoring that the bottom half HAS NO CHOICE but to work to put food on the table, a roof over their heads, and pay for healthcare out of pocket. To enforce lockdowns on these people is to put them into poverty almost overnight. If you have a heart, which I believe you do from your posts, then why would you knowingly choose to destroy these people? If I was a father in those circumstance and my choice was to get COVID and take my chances while earning a living for my family or stay at home and not get COVID, but lose my home, not be able to feed my family, and not be able to pay for healthcare, then you bet your ass I'd go to work and risk getting COVID. I'd prioritize my family over my own health every day of the week. These are choices best left to individuals and their families, NOT arrogated to an unthinking, uncaring, hamfisted government that doesn't know my circumstances and simply has no ability to make decisions on half of me that are better for me than those decisions I can make for myself. The arrogance, the utter lack of humility, of elitists is breath taking and if you stopped to think about it, you know this.
