The choices are more complicated since no shutdown with Covid leads to lost business in certain areas such as travel and entertainment. People will reduce consumption in places where they can get the plague. Hospitals fill up, mortality rises. Constitutionality is left to courts, some courts do rule it’s unconstitutional. Lockdowns should only be implemented with help for all affected people. So we have no lockdown now and Covid cases double in a week. There are no good solutions in a country that does not give a shit about its people.
