Well Mike, I didn't run into any trees, but it looks like QCOM did. Now I know why my vacations seem to come once every 4 years or so. It has taken me the better part of the morning and a platefull of fetucini-at-desk to peruse some 500 or so posts - next time I'm taking along a laptop. Have to admit I got a chuckle out of the twinge of panic in your (among others) posts of late last Thursday evening. This was mainly because at the very same moment your innards were no doubt doing the gastronomic equivalent of a double-dafney-spreadeagle-helicopter, I was completely oblivious to the days economic events and was peacefully hot-tubbing my tired old muscles back to life whilst quaffing one of Steamboat's finest microbrew's. The chuckle comes from realizing that if I'd only gone skiing a few weeks earlier (and stayed there) when we were backing up the buying truck at 45-46, then I wouldn't be at all disappointed when on returning the stock is at....47-48... oh gee, I guess nothing happened while I was away. ***did you get that, Ramsey, we have to take longer vacations*** There may actually be an on-topic point here for those who don't call themselves traders. To wit, if one is confident that your investment is going to go from point "A" to point "D" over some reasonable timeframe, then does it really matter if it makes interim stops at points B and C along the way? Maybe some of the more exciteable types need to take a mental "vacation". While this may not do much for the folks selling pepto-bismol and Wall St. research, it sure would save a potload of SI bandwidth. PS. Its nice to see that QCOM's "largest institutional investor" is not only lurking here but also adding some very well reasoned commentary. Makes a good contrast to the disjointed ramblings of yours truly, who may well be Q's smallest instutional investor. Have fun at the meeting. I'll be in SD next month on business but can't get away right now.-JLF
