Jack: I sold out most of my BEARX at slight profit, left some with 5% loss hoping for a down day to get out of the rest. Tice is losing money big-time, I didn't want to go down with the ship while he chews up his fund shorting disney and microsoft and by buying index puts. Remember that today was the day for testimony about the Asian financial crisis and the markets had to show how calm and well-supported they are with the help of the plunge protection team :)
Scary to think that the feds are propping up the mania.

Jack: Also some culture shock for northerners moving to FL>>> Like what? Dow down 55. I am not too concerned about the Dow. It was the S & P and the Trans. that had me worried. They both were way into ascending triangles and right at the top. Normally in a bull market they break out to up side with a bang. Both got turned back today. The trans. seem more significant since there is not so much national attention paid to it and probably is a better indicator for today. BUT if the dow roars up 150 monday and the S & P goes up 20!!! It still is a bull mkt. Kind of hard to imagine unless Asia is forgiven all its debts.
