R: There is fighting going on right now at Kassala, a medium sized city located very near the Ethiopian border. For some time it has been threatened by the NDA forces which are comprised of people from all ethnic groups found in Sudan. This is a second danger spot. Take a ruler and draw a straight line between Bentiu and Port Sudan. You will see that a pipeline would be threatened by rebel forces, and should the town fall the pipeline would have to be re-routed (unlikely because that would indicate the war was over) or suffer constant NDA threats. Tumbleweed.
