On the other end of the spectrum, there were some comments in the Read-Rite conference call about fewer heads per drive and platters per drive. I heard this again in the Motley Fool synopsis of the Western Digital Conference call: capacity (gigabytes per drive) is growing faster than market demand.

The traditional growth curves are "more for the same cost" and "just more". Are we seeing "the same for less cost"? In the past, that curve has always been temporary.

P.S. To Jon Bird - You were up awful early on Friday. Maybe we should call you the Early Bird. (Sorry, I couldn't resist). Thanks for the notes.
