Scott, I've sat almost totally invested in this stock since the beginning of the thread and you're right - someone with less than honorable intentions would have bailed and left long ago just like one of our very vocal "it's only a modem" posters seems to have left us immediately after the last dip. Think about it.

This last year hasn't been fun for any of the past and present RACE longs yet the experience has certainly improved our researching resources and instilled far more skepticism towards anything that "sounds" reliable or "came from a reputable source". While it's painfully obvious that some of the things we've all been expecting didn't start materializing in the timeframes we hoped for I will continue to stand behind my views of the technology and where I believe it's headed.

I rarely if ever added little cute disclaimers on my posts such as FWIW or "your mileage may vary" mainly because I felt my posting enthusiasm was darn well obvious enough and by God son, you certainly can't say I was the only highly optimistic poster with a daily presence on the thread.

See just how poorly timed some of my thoughts have been? I'm sure I had many in the RACE thread prior to this but I had this DIMD post bookmarked for some reason:

I've also made several from the early days about the RBOCs being tight with their copper but I'm not going to bother searching them out.

It's always been very simple for many - they're waiting to see a stream of news before buying. I guess I'll never learn - I wrote some damn big checks to both of my brokers today for the fun I had on Wednesday. If this thing fails you can rest assured I'll go down with it but by now you should know darn well I'll be posting until the very end.

All (only FWIW)
