Oh Learned One Tim, Please explain to mass followers how article is definitely good for HLIT as opposed to possibly good. If this 750 standard is adopted does HLIT have to get a big percentage of the business?? Are there other competitors ahead of them ? More connected? Why did you worry about BAY,COMS,Toshiba a few weeks ago??? To tell you honestly when you did doubt HLIT, Isaid to myself this must be the turnaround. When Tim throws in the towel it is time to buy. Oh Learned One Tim, Please take a few minutes to reflect as to why @home would be so highly valued and why with all the attention that HFC is getting lately the stock is languishing ? Please Don't tell me it is earnings. Short term earnings disappointment is always a red herring in my opinion. Even Weirdo Kramer said on CNBC Bandwidth is the keyword for 1998 stocks. Is it possible that your moment of doubt a couple of weeks ago is legitimate. Oh Learned One Tim, I bought UNPH soon after their initial IPO. I bought it at 14 and sold at 30 feeling like a genius. Two splits later i.e. each share I sold is now worth 4 shares it is trading at 35 having almost touched 50. See if youcan guess what I bought with the proceeds of UNPH sales?? That's right HLIT at about 12 then I saw them go to 8 and up to 26 and now languishing in the 12 range. My question to you Oh Learned One is What does Wall Street see in UNPH that it does not see in HLIT ?????? I always thought they were in very similar areas and I keep waiting for them to catch up. Oh Learned One Tim, I appologize for the long rambling but the key question is : If the whole world upgrade its cable to 2way at 750 does that mean that it is impossible for HLIT to be shut out from that business or it has to get a big portion of that business? If it can be shut out then who are the most likely to get that business? Thanks for your Learned thoughts anbd hopefully in the future they will be elevated to Wise Thoughts.
