whether people should call her Dr. Biden

Jill Biden is not a PhD. She has a Doctor of Education degree - there is a difference. Like all people who insist on being referred to as "Doctor" (not counting real Med. doctors), her insistence is the sign of person who is socially insecure and has an "I'm better than you" complex. It's kinda like ambulance chasers who insist on putting "esquire" after their names - pretentious B.S. At least when a couple of janitors call each other "colleagues" they're doing it with a self-deprecating sense of humor. Never accuse "PhDs" and "esquires" of having a sense of humor.

The following page at Northeastern University describes the specific difference between Doctor of Education and what Jill Biden wants to be.
