07:20 AM EST, 12/16/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Luminar Technologies(LAZR) and Intel(INTC) unit MobilEye said premarket Wednesday that they are affirming their previously announced deal to collaborate on assisted driving technology.

Under the collaborative deal, Luminar(LAZR) will provide its light detection and ranging technology which will enable the True Redundancy capability of MobilEye's Autonomous Vehicle Series product.

Luminar (LAZR) said that it has already agreed to provide MobilEye with its lidar in production volumes at sub-$1,000 cost.
