EMC is already shipping Fibre Channels; however, the server accessing the fibre channel must be equiped to leverage this technology - this is the drawback to using Fibre. On a single EMC 'Frame' one can have up to 8 direct fibre channels (I believe).... this gives incredible bandwidth. Normal Fast-Wide SCSi can handle up to 100 mbits per second whereas a single fibre channel can deliver up to 1,000 mbits per second per channel!

I have been 'lurking' with respect to this thread for some time and find the majority of the comments 'on-the-money'; as for the marketing aspect of MTIC, if they can nail this down I think things will soar. Many excellant companies have had trouble even though their products were sound but once they started marketing and advertising their sales skyrocketed. We all need to be patient, this company has excellant technology that will be in big demand in the future.... think about where EMC was 3 years ago.
