Jack,

A sociopath always comes across as sincere. Look at a real good salesman, he'll be your best friend and a likable, honest sounding guy while screwing you blind. No conscience to interfere. And they have the conviction of what they are saying or doing is for the best, just it's for their best.

Jack,

I believe it was George Burns, Gracie Allen's straight man, who said something like: Sincerity is everything, and if you can fake that you've got it made.

I agree wholeheartedly with you on your statement re Clinton as a sociopath. However, if you ponder that theory for a bit and take it out further, how many sociopaths and borderline sociopaths have we elected to public office since the Watergate debacle when we stamped our feet and demanded squeaky clean and honest politicians? After all, only a sociopath could stand up to the rigorous scrutiny we have been putting our candidates through since the days of Watergate.
