Sound perspective is gained from a cohesive view, which simplifies the mess of the present world. The cretins, morons, imbeciles, simpletons, and knaves of deep-state neo-people lost the ability of such.

TJ again and again you got it all wrong and mix the self-elected leadership from the actual nation China.

I would suggest to you to stick to your trading and not dwell on issues which are the unfortunate result of you getting the sickness of nationalism.
No matter where it is and how it pops up it is a very bad sickness that only leads to mayhem.

You live in HK not in mainland China and that tells it all.

Your Grand Grand Father fought to change the centralized system of an authoritarian dominance and it is irrelevant which group of people was in power.

He fought a war, lost half of his leg fled to Trinidad married formed a family worked his ass off, grew children to which he instilled the spirit of fighting in them.

As a poor farmer he put his son trough law school and which son later became FM of the revolutionary movement for a better China.
Only the meddling of Stalin in the internal affairs of this movement and two rich women brought to power a selfish despicable lazy farmer called Mao that killed millions if not more for the sake of enforcing his grip on the Chinese nation and was able to change the thinking of the leadership that followed.

What have you done in this respect? Hiding behind your mom skirt? Stick to your knitting and trade option or stock you do not have the courage or the bravery of your family roots!!!

You only know to write political nonsense or blah blah all the time about team this or team that - completely clueless on those matters - you are even afraid to take to arms and make a change to better the life of so many.

You never witness real war you never crossed enemy lines (shaking in your boots but do what was required to perfection!) or participated in covert operation, being happy to return in one piece, you never heard the cries of wounded men with limbs smashed into pieces, or body parts strew on the inner part of a tank or the pungent smell of human flesh and blood on hot steal. .... but you think you are a great "armchair politician"

China did not award you anything for what you have done for that country because you have done ZILCH nothing, and still you think of being a champion of China present regime, in stark contrast to your family roots.

Go back to trading stocks and option at least for that I respect you.

Certainly true that Team China, comparatively to the obvious suspects, tend to distance from meddling, kibitzing, or otherwise influencing in the domestic affairs of all other states

Fang Fangs are everywhere.

Team China edging towards what a domain of farmers, students, scholars, inventors, innovators do best,......

Really, Jay, you can’t possibly be that naive.

Facial recognition, HK police, social credit scores, IPR theft, censorship, Presidents for Life....is that what students, scholars, farmers, inventors, etc., do?

The CCP is engaged in a slow but steady constriction of the human spirit, just as a boa constrictor slowly kills its prey and devours it.

Without a history of freedom for all in its DNA (but with a millennial history of strife and concentrated power), China is bound to repeat its history. Mass communications and globalization have made the current model obsolete. If the trend continues (and it will, because totalitarian rule always implies a desire for increased control and obeisance, not less), the CCP will be using an inordinate amount of resources to control the population. It is eventually a losing game, one China has played before.

We have our own problems, but I wouldn’t trade them for China’s.
