I took apart my internal CD ROM drive, but could find batteries.

Why would Iomega put batteries in an internal Clik? It should draw power from the device that it is installed in, just like Flash memory does.

Your struggle is baffling sometimes.

The external drive is certainly larger than the OEM drive, judging by the photo. But I don't think that's what you were addressing when you said: "Will OEM's allow Vapor! to bloat the size of these portable devices?" and THAT is the statement which is discredited by Michael's post.
