Does anyone have any idea of the stock that Stockman does advocate? All I have ever seen is his criticisms on this thread. I feel as if I have heard his buyer beware speech about 20 times just today. I want to hear about the pros and cons of the merger, but I usually just clear all of these compaq messages because of all this tripe. Like most, I am satisfied of the CPQ exec team and Board.

Jorge, my interest in not putting all my available cash into cpq is simply that I like my money to work and I like to generate some income as I go along without selling any core holdings. I think other stocks have a greater short-term impetus and I've put enough money elsewhere hopefully to reach my short-term objectives with enough cash left over to put back into my core stuff --- after I've spent some profits, of course, on having a little fun.

Just look at the past two year chart of CPQ, did you find any thing similar between now and
the chart of CPQ on May of 1997 ? Then you know what is going to happen, if we assume the chart always talks !!!
