Sorry for the grammar issue, I fixed that now. Then the question becomes, how to find the people who truly need it. Start by spending a little more time preparing the bill, rather than 5K pages and a vote in 2 hours. I find it incredible that the ACA and the auto bailouts generated such animosity for Obama, when they are drops in the bucket compared to what has been hastily and with little thought done this year. Why can't the Dems at least stand up and say lets EFFICIENTLY target our PRECIOUS stimulus $, so that we stretch them as far as possible, and don't run up the deficit the way Trump has so far?

<how to find the people who truly need it> How about letting them ask and make a public record of it that can be audited? Mailing checks to people who are still working seemed stupid. Unemployed? Sure - but there was zero needs testing. If some had been laid off - it might have caused some temporary cash flow issues but they might have other resources.The vast web of government surveillance should know who those are that have no stocks, savings, property ownership, etc. AI should be able to come up with a metric that was 98% right based upon the intersections of sets. Let anyone who was missed have an appeal process. Not hard to separate the wheat from the chaff except in the illogic of government.
