I think the fact that SFNB was really a software company which also did banking probably took its focus away from the banking side.

NTBK does nothing but banking, so that's where their focus is. They have done a lot more advertising from what I understand and the account growth and asset growth is very impressive.

Will they succeed ?? I don't know, but they seem to be on the right track. I think the stock is getting into a pretty fairly-priced range, but if the "Internet-craze" hits it, we could see another 5-10 points.

I believe that the only reason SFNB went into the banking business was to promote its software business and they felt that to get started they must have "bricks and mortar" to give the impression that a bank was necessary. The software is their real business and it will be successful down the road. Go to Wachovia's online bank for a demo.
