Many of them came from a diversified portfolio my brother had built for my mom. He'd have done better with fewer items in ETFs and a couple of stronger ones. Too much oil and other stuff I didn't like.

At the core was my granny's T which she got as an operator in the 40's - I keep it because it is multi-generational - I lowered my basis a bit over the last couple of months which I sold out of today - back to the original share count. Good dividend but I was down from where it was when I got it. Mostly it is sentimental.

I have 47 stocks. I only researched them when I bought them. If they don't cause trouble I just keep them around. A few self-destructed , but in the last decade the winners more than made up for the losers.
