KZAP:

SKM - SK Telekom

Impressive company. Friday close at 8 3/4. All time high in last two years was around 17 1/2. Volume over last month has been up. Friday volume was 1,098,000 shares over an average daily volume of 733,000. SKM provides wireless telecommunications cellular in Korea. Over 3 million cell customers and 1.64 million analog customers. SKM is the third larget pager provider in the world.

Revenues for the last year were up 69% with earnings up 31% in the same period. Ranked number 3 out of 42 in thier industry. SKM has 2 companys following the ADRs both with strong buy recommendations. Chart shows an established uptrend since coming off a basing period in November and December in the 5 to 7 range.

SKM just completed a $100,000,000 ADR share offer issuing 18,726,570 ADR shares at $5.34.

You asked if the share price would get to $12 a share. The share price has some resistance to overcome between its current price and $10. If it breaks through the resistance then the stock will not encounter resistance until just under $15. After the strong runup from the basing period, the stock may take a short rest here as it gathers strengt for its push north. I don't see a whole lot of downside risk if the Korean markets hold up. Depending on your investment perspective (short term trade or long term hold) this stock looks like it has a lot of spring left.

I like it. Looks like you have a nice investment to hold onto if you believe that the Korean markets are recovering. Maybe James Strauss or Susan Slaine could be talked into looking at SKM and give us thier view since they have been looking at the Korean markets lately also.
