TG, Of coarse Intel looked better last year.
It did not have AMD in it's hair too much.
It continued to deny the existence of a major buying shift trend exploited by CPQ (sub $1000.00) which trend is now being extended to business, Intel core strenght. If one looks at the recent posted article about buying preferences one cna draw a conclusion that purchaseres are buying the sub $1,000's and are spending another $700.00 on increased memory, larger viewable monitors, faster modums, some software. In short enhancments.
It did not have to contend with the slow down in asia going forward.
It did not have the DoJ breathing down It's back.
It did not have a record number of radip fire price cuts.
It did not have shrinking margins.
It did not disappoint margined investors with margin calls.
It had the luxury of a sound intact overall market. One that did not suffer a trillion $ equity loss in asia (current loss estimates) 25% to 30% from US investors. The equity loss is exclusive of debt from loans and bonds, nor includes real estate.
It did not have to face a market psycology facing the possibility of a economic slowdown.
You can see it was in a stronger position last year than this year.
Of coarse the Intellafelons(tm) will ignor all this and buy on margin anyway. But some of the former intellabee's have had their wings clipped during the same time I've been clipping coupons. Here is a picture that will just infuriate those intelabee's and bring out the best in the intellafelons. for the last month we have all indured the constant harrassment from them telling us AMD is going broke ect. this picture show AMD going up in lockstep with Intel. I guess when the bee flys it creates a vacume that pulls AMd up with it.
