Actually Greg, AMD was in a stronger position last year on April 2nd ... AMD
was announcing their 233mhz K6 that was ahead of Intel's PII announcements.
AMD "briefly" held the distinction of having the fastest processor. All
that has changed this year with AMD being today 2 speed bins behind and
come April (with the announcement of the 350mhz and 400mhz Deschutes),
AMD will be 3-4 speed bins behind. This must be very frustrating for
AMD investors as the market has come to realize Intel's superior technology ... Even
your bonds might not be safe !!
