When one's President, half the country thinks you're great the other half is trying to screw you. So physiologically, you've got the left hemisphere playing good cop, the right playing bad cop. This results in a constant "fight or flight" readiness, a true cultural and job induced schizophrenic readiness which fortunately has structural hemispheric outlets for expression within the office through the military and the two houses of government. Unfortunately there's a secondary effect of gross over stimulation of the adrenal medulla which accounts for unusual behavior in office. The character of response is proportional to the age of the occupants. The adrenal medulla response, otherwise known as the A.M. or "After Midnight" response is well documented. "The adrenal medulla develops early in the fetus from the primitive nervous system. The formation of the adrenal gland is actually not complete until the end of the third year of age. The adrenal medulla is supplied by a group of nerves from the sympathetic nervous system, and through this portion of the nervous system, the adrenal medulla becomes activated by the splanchnic nerves and is able to produce the hormone necessary for greater physical performance - the "fight or flight" response." Its obvious that any sympathetic attention approaching the occupant of office will result in a local display of "greater physical performance." This response to office is entirely predickable and should be worked into the perks of a sitting president to better serve the nation's aims of an untensioned, fully recharged, left/right brain functional head of state.
