why would you prosecute an officer doing his job? That woman was about to be the first to breach the congressional chambers, where the legislators were.

Taro,
and prosecute that policeman, who shot and killed the woman at point-blank!
I can't wait to see the left defend the actions of the police officer who fired that shot and made the poor woman take the room temperature challenge.

My own congressman, for example, wants to change the standard for lethal force from "reasonable" to "necessary."

Right now, an officer is allowed to shoot if he or she has a "reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm" to themselves or to other people.

If my congressman has his way, that standard would be changed to "necessary," which is stupid because it's going to open up our police officers to all sorts of second-guessing.

So let's take this particular shooting. Was it reasonable for the police officer to open fire? Maybe, especially in the chaos of the situation.

Was it NECESSARY? Probably not, since I really doubt anyone's life was in imminent danger from this lady.

Remember, in a leftist "woke" society, it doesn't matter what bad choices the perp has made. The only thing that matters is that the perp was unarmed and that the cop was armed.

that police officer was charged with the responsibility of protecting
the people behind him in that room. that was his job. to protect
innocent people from rioting intruders intent on doing them harm.

the officer had no reason to believe otherwise.

I guess he could have waited. the police could have opened the door and
said, com'on in fellas. and then when the people who were told to take
cover on the floor were taken hostage, or whatever else COULD have
happened, the police could have said .... "dang! I shoulda used my firearm.
I shoulda done my job. I shoulda done was I was trained for".

are you really serious??!!!!?
