Paul says:

<short interest in CTYSC had increased to 5,783,354 from 4,746,499 for the month ended Dec.24,1997.>

An earlier poster asked:

<What if all of us asked our brokers to register our shares and send them to us taking them out of the float entirely?>

I'm willing to call in my own shares, but would this do any good? With 42m shares outstanding (and maybe lots more to come if and when the floorless people convert) and a 10.9m float? According to Zeev's theory, many or most of those shorts are actually convertible holders who can cover by converting, making them impervious to any short squeeze.

Also -- are we being shorted by Canadians? (I understand Canadian brokerages will allow shorting of penny stocks, unlike U.S. brokers.) Who was able to short after this turkey slid below $5 a share?
