Funny about optics these days. It's easy to pay much more for optics that the rifle. When I lived in Denver I went to the Redfield factory and they had several scopes for sale that were vendor exhibits.

I bought a 4x12, bell adjustable parallax with a quarter minute dot reticle.....for $60

I have it on my Tikka today.

I bought 2 Burris scopes when a store was closing 40 years ago both for $60. Still use them today. One on a 10/22 and one on a ruger MPR.

Have a vortex 4x12 on another ar15 that I bought from a friend for $60.

$60 seems to be the magic price tag for optics for me.

I have a friend that looks like Field and Stream and GQ had a love child. Dresses for affect and can't shoot for shit. I end up buying most of what he buys and doesn't use for 70% off. Glad to have him around.

Your combo could keep heads down out to a mile if necessary. Excellent.
