wants to spend the money to pre-emptively protect against damage by building seawalls, elevating or relocating flood-prone homes If the govt was truly concerned about flood-prone homes, it would stop providing subsidized flood insurance. Eliminate that and not only would there be large savings, future damage would be much less.
