There is a difference between stupidity and insanity. That is what throws so many people off. That guy obviously had mental problems. Of course humans engage in a lot of magical thinking. So that confuses the issue even more. However, IMO, most Trump supporters just are unable to intellectually figure out how dangerous he is. They cannot see it. I bought some plywood today and had the piece cut in three equal pieces. The "cutter" measured the first one and cut it and then was about to measure the larger piece again and I had to explain to him all he had to do was lay the cut piece on top of the larger remaining piece and cut along the edge! He could not figure that out. Then I needed the trunk tied down, and once again another guy could not figure out how to do it and all he had to do was tie the rope around the plywood sticking out the back of the trunk. I was flabbergasted both times!?
