I have an idea. Let's de-fund the Capitol Police. They seem like they hold implicit and systemic biases against white, right-wing, insurrectionists who only want to assert their 1st and 2nd Amendment rights by storming a federal building.

What do you say?

Oh please. You always deny the facts when they don't match up with whatever fantasy you have concocted. If she had missed the arm sticking out with a gun in hand, she certainly should have heard the crowd shouting about a gun. It was about as far from an ambush as it could get. For someone who worked security in the military, she showed no situational awareness. And paid for it.

It doesn't really matter if there was no gunfire in the area. The fact of the matter is that it was clear the rioters had guns and were using them. The cop had no way to know if she had one or not. Or if any of the ones behind her had guns. It was truly unlikely that she went through as some sort of ambassador, it was pretty clear that others were going to follow.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
