Hi W0Z,

I'm told the chip shortage is focused on the Cummins diesel engine, specifically the emissions control system.

That's just the talk - may or may not be the real deal.

TSMC has indicated they'll build a big fab in Chandler Arizona. My bet is they are in a big hurry and the regulation review better be quick. Certainly no pressure like Trump used to apply. Biden may find himself in one heck of a pickle.

Come on man we're not enemies, as Taiwan goes to the communists.

If so, it will make one heck of a "I told you so!" from Trump.

Everyone worries about China and only talks. Reminds me about the precursor to WWII. Hope not!

Bob

One of my neighbors has been battling to get his information about how to treat COVID-19 out into the public. He will be on 60 Minutes this weekend. He's been writing in Nextdoor about his efforts to get local papers to cover the story but they won't even though the LA Times covered it.

Steve Kirsch 60 Minutes story on fluvoxamine for COVID. I will be featured on 60 Minutes this Sunday talking about fluvoxamine as an effective treatment for COVID-19 to prevent hospitalization and death. Please watch and tell your friends! For more info about using fluvoxamine for COVID, see skirsch.com
Who are you in a nutshell?
I’m a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist and founder of COVID-19 Early Treatment
Fund.

I’m a serial high-tech entrepreneur and philanthropist. I have started 7 high tech companies, two with billion dollar market caps. I have a SM and SB in EECS from MIT. More about me on
Wikipedia and LinkedIn.
When the lockdown began, I took a leave of absence and started an organization, COVID-19
Early Treatment Fund, that funds research on using repurposed drugs to treat COVID. We
raised $5M, received 60 grant applications and funded 14. I chose that approach because I
thought it would be the fastest and cheapest way to end the pandemic. Once we find a drug
combination that reduces the hospitalization/death rate from COVID by more than a factor of 10,we should be able much more rapidly get back to normal.

For more, watch this 3 minute intro: COVID-19 Early Treatment Fund (CETF) Introduction -
YouTube.

I was featured in a front page story in the LA Times about COVID and the drug CETF funded,
fluvoxamine, has been the subject of many stories.

For more information, see Fluvoxamine - The backstory which answers questions about the
history of the research, why we funded it, and suggestions on how we can improve the system
so that it works better in the future.
