In the analyst Q&A, post Q4 report, Intel management is extremely upbeat about the PII transition. You can listen to it on the WEB with RealPlayer (free download). By 2H98 (exiting Q2) they expect 50% PII. They reiterated this for Kurlak during the Q&A.
