The only thing I'm certain of is using the crossover, but my Internet does strange things.

It's been over 5 years since I messed with it, but have a problem connecting more than two computers to the Internet and since my daughter and I share the same modem, she has to have a good line.

What happens is the first two computers will connect to the Internet and the third computer won't.

Both the modem/router and the network switch are Netgear and called them when I was trying to troubleshoot the problem, but never solved it.

I may only be able to connect one of my computers to the Internet at a time along with my daughter's machine.
