Yes Don, Chicken trade for me.. put position on OEX or DJ when I think I've seen the day's high, looking for a 33-50% retrace, then out. Just not usre yet if this is a pop opening that falters a little then surges again.. those whip saws. If I get it done right, it won't matter what tomorrow's move is.

from Briefing.. this could temper the situation however.

"National Semiconductor (NSM) 28 1/8: Chip maker expects Q3 results to fall below Q2 net of $0.32 and sales of of $719.9 million, citing situation and Asia and problems at recently-acquired Cyrix. Expectations had been for NSM to earn $0.39 in Q3..."

Lowest savings rate since 1939?

"For the year, incomes rose 5.8 percent, a bit faster than
spending, which increased 5.4 percent. But tax and fee
payments to government shot up 11.4 percent. So disposable,
or after tax, income rose just 5 percent, somewhat slower than
spending.

To make up the difference, Americans saved less -- just 3.8
percent of disposable income, down from 4.3 percent in 1996.
That represented the lowest savings rate since 1939."
