Don Wood has resigned. See
metricom.com

What's ahead for MCOM? REALLY hard to say. This is
a gambler's stock. No P/E. Nbr of Ricochet subscribers
today almost irrelevant to corporate value 2 yrs from
now. Still no head-on competition, but every week seems
to have news of new communication schemes.

What's ahead for Metricom? Selling Ricochet into vertical
markets. All those gas pumps that now need a phone line
for credit card verification are a natural target. The
SoHo and Road Warrior markets look good. Concerns? Getting
political permission to put pole-tops out is a persistant
problem. Capital to do major build-outs is another worry.
Engineering remains excellent. Ricochet's topology is the
"right" way to do wireless data, and the "Autobahn" (128K)
improvments should make for even happier customers.

So who's going to replace Don Wood?
