I've watched some of the trial and lost sleep doing it but I'm very impressed by what I've seen. The evidence is so overwhelming that if were in a court room the defense would throw in the towel (or if the Supreme Court had it they'd wait until Trump died and rule it was moot).

My distaste of republican corruption runs deep. They corrupt everything they touch but it still comes down to two possible reasons; 1) their leaders are forced to be morons because their voters are morons or 2) their leaders really are morons.

They can lie about "repeal and replace" for more than one year and still get reelected. They lied for nearly a decade and their voters still voted for them. Hopefully you can see why I have the two options above.

Robust R's sound a lot like racist goose-stepping wannabes from my recent experiences.

They didn't always - but in the last 30 years there has been an accelerating pace of ignorance, demagoguery and fascism. It really crested last month. But it has been brewing for years. They got more and more removed from facts and ideals and just wanted brass balls and craven disregard for laws and decorum.

It is a crass joke to call them the party of Lincoln. Like calling Russians "communists" - which of Engels principles did they embody in Stalin-ism? There have been lots of people who talked of communism but were content to be totalitarians.
