Hi Bob

Yeah those results are a load off my mind. I am still not 100% overall but that is due to lack of exercise.

People say go to the malls for a walking exercise....up to a few days ago we were in lockdown for the most part. The malls were still open but they removed all the benches...you could buy food in the food court but had to take it home to eat .....no seating. I can walk around but eventually about 30 mins I needed to sit and rest a bit but there was nowhere to do it.

We have had bitter weather the last couple of weeks.... about the extremes of what Texas and surrounding states are experiencing. But in Canada we are ready for such weather. Our houses and apartments are suitably insulated and there is no problem with electricity and natural gas for heating. With wind chill our temperatures dropped to the -40 C/F and rose to a high of -25C (about -18F) during the day....annoyingly cold but livable...commerce and life went on as normal....rarely do we see anyone dead from exposure even in the homeless community though it can happen there if they avoid shelters that are available...often churches open their doors to homeless during these times.

We are seeing a break in the weather coming up...it is 8:00am and the temperature is -12C (+8F) and that feels like banana belt weather after the last couple of weeks and will be 0C in a few days.

There is snow on the sidewalks and it will be a while till it is safe for walking.... I use my canes when I walk outdoors and I look forward to the snow leaving us..... We get chinook winds here often.... "Chinook" ins indigenous language for "snow eater". These are hot winds that travel from the east sides of the Rocky Mountains from the American deserts.

When I was a sales man here I remember a day when it was -15C in the morning and by 4:00pm it was +15C. This was not out of the norm.... You don't know how to dress when these winds come around. A chinook is announced by a arc of cloud in the western sky....when you see this you know the day will be warm.

I need exercise and lockdown restrictions make that difficult for me so melting the snow looks good to me.

Take Care
