Jim: your point well taken. I don't want them to go out of 'biz' or anything, nor do I want AMD to kick the bucket.I was rather making a comment on NSM's predicament.

Jim, the problem I have is that Halla has done nothing but HYPE the stock since the merger..making unreasonable claims about sub$500 computers taking over market share, about integrated chips, etc. and he has delievered nothing. IMO, he is just manipulating investors to buy into his grandiose ideas, just like Sanders. Also, IMO, he shouldn't have painted a rosy picture last week, if he was going to warn the next week. You could argue that he didn't know, but I don't buy it.

Jim - Re :"After all they are changing FABs"

Changing fabs?

According to the Cyrix cognescenti, they are ADDING fabs.

IBM is still a manufacturer, are they not, of Cyrix processors until the end of 1999?

Then, NSM has their development center making products - remember the press release from one or two weeks ago?

The "rumor" is that TSMC will ALSO be making Cyrix processors.

And then their is NSM's Portland 8 inch MegaFab nearing completion.

It doesn't sound like "changing" fabs is a good excuse.
