Hi Lee,
I am afraid to get into this one. After all I am not without faith. But I also believe that things take time and that light waves are just reaching the earth from billions of years ago when those stars formed. So what I am hearing is that when those stars were created, they were created with the light coming from stars far away 99% from there to here.
Let me ask you about this, when water from a great flood or any flood recedes, it can deposit debris. But only the loose material on the bottom and that which can be washed up, is found from one receding flood. And we have miles and miles of vertical sedimentation stratigraphy. Inside of that stratigraphy are wind blown sand formations, sometimes hundreds of feet thick, with all of the wind blown sorting as is found in sand dunes today. I don't know how to explain a desert sand developing over hundreds of square miles with flood material above and flood material below, all from one flood. Do you? But then again, I wasn't there. Why is it that the earth is created with sediments layered like an open book. That book is a part of the creation, but man wishes to think that his God didn't mean what he laid out for all to see. Then you would have to believe that God is a practical joker, and I do not believe that. mike
